Il noto sito americano di calcio femminile Women’s Soccer United ha stilato la classifica delle 100 migliori giocatrici del 2017, includendo due atlete della Nazionale italiana: Barbara Bonansea e Ilaria Mauro. 


L’esterno offensivo della Juventus si è classificata al quarantasettesimo posto, mentre l’attaccante della  Fiorentina al novantaduesimo. Le due calciatrici si sono messe in mostra nella rassegna internazionale di Euro 2017: Mauro ha segnato due reti contro Russia e Germania, mentre Bonansea ha creato varie occasioni da gol per le sue compagne, mettendo in difficoltà le retroguardie avversarie con la sua capacità nell’ uno contro uno. 

Al primo posto è stata scelta Pernille Harder, trascinatrice della Danimarca alla Finale della manifestazione europea. Sui gradini inferiori del podio troviamo  Lieke Martens, vincitrice di Euro 2017 e vera rivelazione dell’annata, e Sam Kerr, attaccante australiana autrice di 25 gol in 26 gare tra NWSL e W-League, i massimi campionati di Stati Uniti e Australia.
